I'll first start by telling you a few things about myself and the purpose of this blog. My name is David. I'm 21 years old. I am California born and raised. I love anything concerning the arts especially music, visual and the performing arts. With that said these are just a few things this blog will focus on specifically such as music, the visual arts, and lifestyle modules. Hence the name connoisseur of the underground. The word connoisseur means someone of great taste better yet known as a tastemaker. I believe that I have a great taste in music especially rap and r&b. Now this doesn't mean that I don't listen to artist like Lil Uzi Vert and 21 Savage nor does it mean that I listen to Nas and Biggie all day. I like all of the aforementioned artist and what they bring to the game. In the same token though you may find me listening to Sam Cooke one second and then Gucci Mane the next. Music is all about the display of emotions whether that is happiness, sadness, anger, despair, or frustration. This is why certain artists make the type of music that they make. Some use their lyrics to tell a vivid story while others allow the beat to put you in the proper mood. As far as the lifestyle part of the blog we will be looking at the different lifestyles of the rich and famous. Now why are we focusing on this you might ask? Well I'll tell you. It'll give some people something to aspire towards while letting others know it is not impossible to live the lifestyle they want to live. Allow the lifestyle portion of this blog to motivate you towards bettering your life so you can live the way you've always wanted to. As for the visual arts I hope to help get other's art and pieces out there and bring attention to those who deserve it. Hopefully i can start a segment where we broadcast and put the spotlight on a different artist each week. Whether it's an aspiring photographer or someone who does graphic design. Thanks for visiting my blog and I hope you enjoy yourself and the content.
BlkSwn - A 314 album with a Chitown influence
My first encounter with Smino came on a leak that dropped not long after Chance the Rapper released Coloring Book. That name was Smino. Smino came in with a flavor and swagger that's been unmatched since 3stacks and Sleepy Brown last collaborated. His performance made me want to hear more so I looked him up and came across his blkjptr project and from the first listen the titular track became one I'd find myself playing on repeat for hours before changing the song. So when I found out Smino was dropping his debut album I was more than hype, try ecstatic on for size. With that said let's dive right into it. Smino starts the ...
